Development Direct Colin Wong Designer Kitchen Awards 2013

‘I was actually quite nervous this year following last year’s amazing win so after being nominated again, I decided just to enjoy the award ceremony win or lose. Having some of my design team with me made for a great day and they seemed more confident than me -it must of been all the free alcohol!

The plush surroundings of the Tower of London really set the stage so when my name was announced for the kitchen designer award, I was genuinely quite shocked but elated to receive the award for the 2nd year running.

The past 24 months will stay with me for life after winning 5 national design awards and I really want to take this opportunity to thank my team for all their hard work and dedication.

I wouldn’t of succeeded without them and after-all, few know that I am cad illiterate and still work with pencil and paper!

Warm thanks must also go out to the team at Pro-publishing for organising the most respected award ceremony for our industry – Clara, Martin and their team uncompromisingly put design at the forefront of all their work and that what makes the designer awards and magazine unrivaled in our industry ‘

Colin Wong Designer Kitchen Awards 2013
Following an amazing award ceremony at The Tower Of London hosted by BBC presenter, Melissa Porter, our design team were all present to watch our Design Director, Colin be awarded with the Designer Kitchen Award 2013 for the 2nd year running.

It was a genuinely amazing moment and capped a wonderful day in London for us all!

Our team were all a bit worse for wear on Friday but with some great memories to cherish.

Designer Kitchen Bathroom Awards 2013
Nerves are starting to kick-in for our design team as we look forward to this week’s glamour Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards at the Tower of London. Although it is Colin that it is up for 2 awards, the whole team are biting their nails and hoping for a great result in London. We secretly think Colin is actually trying to act cool and calm but is infact a bag of nerves inside – the wind ups aren’t going down too well!
Anyway, our design team genuinely never thought we would be in this privileged position 2 years in a row following Colin’s win last year but we guess that the relentless nagging from the bossman on how our designs just need to keep on getting better has really paid off. We all fly down on Thursday morning and will enjoy the whole awards win lose or draw! Colin’s only words to us all so far were, ‘try not to get too p….d before the actual awards are handed out’ — typical!
