Colin Wong Development Direct Kitchens kbbReview Winner

Development Direct Kitchens Edinburgh, has been announced as a winner at the biggest awards event in the kitchen and bathroom industry, the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards. The award, which was presented at the black tie gala dinner at the London Hilton on Monday 16th March, was won in the Bathroom designer of the year – project costing upto £10,000.

The much anticipated event marked 21 years of the national awards, which are organised by the UK’s leading publication for the kitchen and bathroom industry, kbbreview magazine. In attendance were many of the most esteemed names in the sector, as well as the evening’s celebrity host, Tim Vine.

Colin Wong, Design Director of Development Direct says: “Winning this award has made the night a fantastically memorable occasion. Having my team accompany me made the event even more special, and I continue to look forward to the future kbbreview Retail & Design awards.”

Development Direct Pick Up Another Top Honour

NEFF Master Partners Award Winner 2015

On the 5th February, the team at Development Direct made the trip down the gala award ceremony sponsored by NEFF which was held at the iconic Roundhouse theatre in London. The evening was hosted by the Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood and an entertaining evening was capped off with Development Direct’s Martin Baptie accepting the Neff’s Kitchen designer of the year award.

This amazing accolade makes this 4 wins out of the 5 years since this the very 1st award ceremony held at Celtic Manor.

An elated Martin commented,

‘I always had a feeling that I was joining something special especially with Colin’s award track record over the years but I never thought I too would be picking up an award so soon! It’s an amazing feeling and we have something really special here at Development Direct. It’s a real team effort and I now understand why Colin is just so passionate about design as it is so infectious and spurs the team on to new levels of design!’

Creative Director, Colin Wong who amazingly was also shortlisted at these awards commented,

‘What can you say! It was the perfect result for Development Direct Kitchens as it shows we have real depth of strength throughout my design team. I am so proud of the team that I have put together and to watch Martin get up on that stage makes me feel like a proud father at a prize giving! It is always a team effort and it makes all those late nights at the drawing board all the more worthwhile!’

We are delighted to announce that we, Development Direct, have been nominated as a finalist in two categories at this year’s prestigious kbbreview Retail & Design Awards. Entered annually by the very best of the UK’s kitchen and bathroom businesses, the black tie award-ceremony is organised by kbbreview, the industry’s leading business magazine for over 30 years.

Colin Wong, Creative Director of Development Direct says:

“After last year’s amazing win at the 20th anniversary of the kbbreview Design Awards, it is a true honour to of been nominated again this year. I wasn’t expecting this at all as I didn’t think I could surpass last year’s highs – it really came as a pleasant surprise! It’s an amazing early Christmas present for me and my design team and I’m really looking forward to the award ceremony in March”.

Winners will be announced by the traditional opening of an envelope at the glittering, black tie gala dinner taking place on Monday 16th March at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
